Christmas is coming |

Yesterday,
was our children’s Christmas program.
We advertised in the newspaper, printed a large poster for
the train station, handed out 2000 invitations, and wrote to
all the children who have come to the church in the past.
The Sunday School teachers and Christmas committee easily
put in 80 hours preparing for the program- every Saturday
and most Sundays for the last 2 months.
The 9 Sunday School regulars did a great job in the
Christmas skit, and the teachers prepared other fun games,
music, tons of food… everything you need for a fun Christmas
program.
In all, 7 new children came. Three had never been to church
before; 4 had come once or twice in the past.
Some people would have been disappointed at the numbers, but
our Sunday school workers are great. They were thrilled to
be able to work all those hours to tell 7 little kids that
Christmas is about a baby named Jesus, who was born that
night. A baby who was and is the Son of God.
Most Japanese children have never heard this.
We finished the day with a prayer meeting, asking the Savior
to save each of these 7 children – and their families.
It was a good start to our Christmas season.
Have a wonderful week, and thanks always,
